Taipei Top Chef Competition 2009, held by Taipei City Government and Taipei Restaurant Association started since 2007, wrapped up successfully. It was a big success for CAESAR PARK HOTEL TAIPEI that three of best chefs made great performance and awarded. Moreover, we are proud of winning the champion in the 3rd Wowprime Cup Tray Carrying 2009. Both hit the records and bring new era. 

Checkers won first place in the 3rd Wowprime Cup Tray Carrying 2009 and was awarded 1 prize and 4 medals. The score items included costumes, carrying postures and stability, sanitary and safe procedures and time management. The two teams of Checkers and Banquet stood out in the 42 competitors. The 8 representatives insisted that the most unforgotten thing was they shared joy and efforts, never gave up as a team and took up the challenges until finally hit success. Being recognized for their efforts and professional performance is the most important for them. CAESAR PARK HOTEL TAIPEI will stick to the great attitude and offer the best service to all our guests. 

Taipei Top Chef Competition 2009 is to inspire chefs to reach a higher degree of excellence and creativity in Taiwan food. Further, it intends to attract participation of top chefs so as to promote tourism industry and Taipei to the world. Master Yu Kuo-Cheng from CAESAR PARK HOTEL TAIPEI won the second place in Group of Chinese Cold Dish of the 2nd Top Chef Competition held by Taipei Restaurant Association while Master Wu Cheng-Long and Hsieh Pei-Cheng were awarded in Group of Chinese Hot Dish and Best Dual Chefs. Yu Kuo-Cheng put his skills to good use and made creative dishes with regular household food ingredients, such as pig’s tongues, shrimp, salmon, chicken and yolk. He won by ‘Eagle Taking Off’ in the semi finals and ‘Flying Phoenix’ in the finals. He insisted that the competition was to accumulate experience and get advanced. What makes him stand out is step-by-step learning and practice. He indicates that he will continue the spirit of creating more delicacies for all guests.

During the competition, apart from abundant gourmet offered by CAESAR PARK HOTEL TAIPEI, Wu Ting-Kuo, master of ice carving, was invited on the spot to show the great skills and works which were well received and highly praised by Taipei City Government. Wu Ting-Kuo, who has 24-year experience, is adept at ice and fruit carving. His works have been awarded nationally and internationally. His recent champion was Best Ice Sculpture in Open de desserts DE France 2009. Through his vivid ice craving, CAESAR PARK HOTEL TAIPEI presents art to express thoughtful sentiments and surprises to all our guests.
